sewing: linen jersey union st tee + stretch twill chi-town chinos imagine gnats

This post is written by Heidi of Handmade Frenzy.

You know that perfect outfit that epitomizes what you love about summer, and is exactly your style, all wrapped up into one? This outfit; my new linen jersey Union St Tee in heathered navy, and my stretch twill 7 oz in white Chi-Town Chinos is exactly that!

I have a serious crush on white bottoms. Well, maybe its a life-long relationship, really. Ever since I have had an opinion about the clothes I wore, Ive always loved white bottoms Skirts, pants, shorts, all of it. I have the same story about the color navy; its my favorite for tops and dresses especially. And when you pair them together Well, its bliss!!

This is actually my second pair of Chi-Town Chino shorts in white twill. (You can see the first pair here) Yep, I love them that much that I completely replicated them!! There is one small difference between this pair and the first. I think I like this pair just a smidge more.

And that is because of this PERFECT stretch twill in white. It has just the right amount of stretch for comfort! Its a nice 7 oz weight, which is perfect for summer shorts with some structure, but still cool enough.

One thing that always concerns me about white bottoms is the opacity. This fabric is great in that area. Its not completely opaque when held up to the light, but when worn on the body, its hardly noticeable.

The pocket placements on this pair of shorts covers up any areas that could potentially be a problem. I made sure to use a cream colored lining for the front pockets so that no contrast would show through.

Tiny Studio Ideas Little Treasures

I don't have a real studio. I've been dreaming of such for ages.
I have a part of my living room converted into a creative spot/studio. We've been searching for some small brick and mortar places to make into a studio for me, but the expenses are so huge, no person right in the mind would undertake such a step. So into the living room I stay.  That doesn't mean that my mind is constricted - no...no.. It soars up into fantasies filled with all sorts of beautiful rooms where yours truly could flaunt all crochet supplies, beads and findings, all my beautiful fabric and trims....

I don't let my spirit fall. I always look up to this quote:

Stop waiting for the ideal art/craft studio. Find a spot, claim it as yours and make art!

Here I am showing 4 of my favourite creative spaces / studios.
The first one belongs to Kelly Rae Roberts.

Insta love: Puzzle Necklaces by Peekaboo Little Treasures

I couldn't help but thought that this is one extraordinary idea when I saw Peekaboo's puzzle necklaces.

I asked her about the inspiration and idea behind these and this is what she said:

The internet has been an everlasting inspiration for everything - including my new jewelry pieces that come with their own case - puzzles. It resulted from the need to store my necklaces without fearing that the chains are going to get tangled or break.
