Gasping For Air: Staff LAUGH As Decorated World War II Veteran Is Left To Die After He Calls For Help Six Different Times In Atlanta Nursing Home SHTF Plan When It Hits The Fan, Don't Say We Didn't Warn You

veteran_death

Staff at the Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehabilitation Center laughed as a decorated World War II veteran took his last gasps of air after frantically calling for help six different times, according to a shocking new investigation from 11Alive.com.

The investigation included the release of a never before seen hidden camera video that not only completely contradicted statements given by the nursing home staff but also proved, without a shadow of doubt, that the nursing home essentially let the decorated veteran die as if it were a joke.

The video is so disgusting that attorneys for the nursing home repeatedly tried to stop its release, going through a series of court battles with the local news station in which they hoped that the media would be ordered to censor the footage.

Thankfully, the judge in the case ruled in favor of actual journalism and the nursing home, after seeing no other possible outcome, eventually dropped their appeal to the Georgia State Supreme Court.

In the 11Alive investigation, the news outlet details the fact that a nurse who was on duty at the time directly lied about what actually happened before being confronted with the hidden camera video.

In the video deposition, former nursing supervisor Wanda Nuckles tells the familys attorney, Mike Prieto, how she rushed to Dempseys room when a nurse alerted her he had stopped breathing.

Prieto: From the time you came in, you took over doing chest compressionscorrect?
Nuckles : Yes.

Prieto: Until the time paramedics arrive, you were giving CPR continuously?
Nuckles : Yes.

The video, however, shows no one doing CPR when Nuckles entered the room. She also did not immediately start doing CPR.

Sir, that was an honest mistake, said Nuckles in the deposition. I was just basing everything on what I normally do.

[]

When nurses had difficulty getting Dempseys oxygen machine operational during, you can hear Nuckles and others laughing.

Prieto: Maam, was there something funny that was happening?
Nuckles : I cant even remember all that as you can see.

The video shows the veteran calling for help six times before he goes unconscious while gasping for air. State records show nursing home staff found Dempsey unresponsive at 5:28 am. It took...

Shock: Black Death Patients Are ESCAPING The Hospital Over Fear Of Needles As Officials Worry Plague Could Spread SHTF Plan When It Hits The Fan, Don't Say We Didn't Warn You

nintchdbpict000367731054

Patients in Madagascar who are currently suffering from the plague have escaped multiple hospitals in the area over fears of needles and hospital treatment as a whole, according to a shocking report in The Sun newspaper.

Security guards with at least one hospital have been tasked with forcefully keeping black death patients in the hospital as well as following the strict safety procedures set up in an attempt to quell the outbreak.

The Sun reported:

Officials at the hospital say the main reason why patients run away is that they are scared of needles and dont have much experience of hospitals.

Jean Benoit Manhes, the deputy representative of Unicef, told the Irish Times: Some escaped because theyre afraid of needles. People here are not used to the hospital.

The problem of plague is not just a medical response. You can have hospitals but if people dont come it isnt enough.

Such incidents have prompted fears that the plague could spread even further with each confirmed case requiring 20 people have been in contact with to be treated as a precaution.

Malagasy people have also been told not to carry out their traditional burial tradition of Famidihana which involves digging up their dead relatives every seven years.

It means turning the bones and sees families cleaning the remains, rewrapping them and reburying them while other family members perform a special dance.

The African islands government has told citizens to pause the tradition for fear the plague bacteria is still active in the corpses and can be spread to the living.

News of infected patients running away from hospitals comes on the heels of reports that it is only a matter of time before the plague becomes resistant to the antibiotics that are currently being used to treat the outbreak.

Mac Slavo recently reported for SHTFplan:

The newest warning about the outb...

So - new TV show. Still 'reality TV' - but this one seems to have a bit of real life, non-fiction involved.

Production values are reasonable, the HS drama that seems to infest these kind of shows was missing for the most part.

I'm actually looking forward to the next episode, and it has been entertaining - something really lacking these days.

Hillary Clinton, Who Colluded With The Russians, Questions The Legitimacy Of The 2016 Elections Because.Russia SHTF Plan When It Hits The Fan, Don't Say We Didn't Warn You

hillary-hacked2

Failed former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is now directly questioning the legitimacy of the 2016 elections, citing the discredited deep state narrative that Donald Trump worked with the Russians as one of her reasons despite the fact that her own campaign colluded with Russian sources to spread disinformation about President Trump through what would eventually become known as the Trump dossier.

Clinton made the comments in a wide ranging interview with the always friendly Mother Jones Senior Reporter Ari Berman where she stated that there are many questions about the actual legitimacy of the last presidential election in which she lost.

During the interview Berman asked Clinton, So between the Republican voter suppression you talked about and Russian interference, do you think it was a legitimate election?

I think that there are lots of questions about its legitimacy, and we dont have a method for contesting that in our system. Thats why Ive long advocated for an independent commission to get to the bottom of what happened. Because, look, this is the first time weve ever been attacked by a foreign adversary, and then they suffer no real consequences, Clinton replied.

And so, Im worried that were not learning all the lessons, its one of the reasons why I wrote the book. Because I wanted people at least to understand what I saw as the factors, including shortcomings of myself and my campaign. But the forces at work outside my campaign are not going away. Somebody else is going to be running for Congress, or governor, or eventually president. Weve got to know how to protect ourselves.

Berman then attempted to get Clinton to double down by specifically clarifying that she was stating she had questions about the election itself. Clinton happily obliged.

I do, sure. Because I think, as we learn more about it, we know that the web of connections between people on Trumps team and Russian representatives just gets more and more dense.

The interview is flabbergasting to say the least, especially when you consider that some of the reasons cited by Clinton are literally exactly what she and her...

Youre So Dumb That I Cant Even Pray For You, Popular ESPN Host Targets The Networks Conservative Critics SHTF Plan When It Hits The Fan, Don't Say We Didn't Warn You

scott-van-pelt-midnight-sportscenter-media-circus

Over the last few years the once dominant sports news outlet ESPN has come under fire for their perceived political bias after the network fired multiple employees for conservative viewpoints while propping up those that pushed the companies anti-Trump agenda.

From firing baseball icon Curt Schilling to allowing prime-time SportsCenter news anchor Jemele Hill to smear the president on Twitter, the network has an obvious liberal leaning and many conservatives have rightly called out this transparent bias.

Now, in a fiery interview with Sports Illustrated, one of the networks poster boys, Scott Van Pelt, has responded to his conservative critics by attacking them for even having the gall to question ESPNs political bias in the first place.

Van Pelt attempted to act like a tough guy, calling out said critics for being cowards who he believes only speak out against ESPN on the internet but would never do so in real life.

This make believe world where everyone talks shit, this shit talking, poke you in the chest virtual whatever its just theres nothing more chicken shit than that, because its the easiest thing in the world to do, Van Pelt laughably said before targeting those who have boycotted his network in the past.

In what one can only assume was a network approved attack on their critics, Van Pelt then described those that have boycotted ESPN as so dumb that they dont even deserve to be prayed for.

If you truly wanna boycott the NFL and you wanna boycott ESPN, the notion that some guy sitting out there, or gal, and they decide, you know what, Im gonna cut my entire cable package because ESPN gave an award on a made-up show in July because theres no sports, to a woman who used to be a man.

So Im now not gonna have any cable TV at all and Im gonna sit around at night and read books by candlelight like olden times because of that, thats not happening.

And if you did that, than youre so dumb that I cant even pray for you because youre beyond hope.

Yep, that is apparently what the networks most visible personality (and thus presumably the network as a whole) thinks about conservatives.

From Hollywood to the media, and now apparently the sports world, anyone with conservative viewpoints are being openly attacked and labeled racist as a means to silence all dissenting thought against the liberal world establishment.

13 Ways To Cool Your House During A Blackout Survival Life

Finding ways to cool your house during a hot day or night during a blackout can get really inconvenient, most especially if youre unprepared. If you had the means to get the heat out, you would surely not think twice about doing so!

Ways to Cool Your House Without Electricity

What if the blackout was caused by a natural or man-made disaster such as an earthquake, flood, forest fire, or other situations like a downed electric pole? While the power is out, there must be other ways to cool your house and keep the temperature down so you could just feel a bit more comfortable. Let me help you out with these few ways to keep your house cool during these trying times.

1. Refrain from Cooking Indoors

Refrain From Cooking Indoors | Ways To Cool Your House During A Blackout
Assuming youre using liquefied petroleum gas, avoid cooking inside your home. Instead, cook outside or better yet, have food delivered to your home if thats possible. The heat from cooking will circulate in your home which definitely wont be helpful at all.

2. Leave Your Doors and Windows Open

Open all your windows and your doors to allow the breeze to cool your home. By opening both ends of your home, the breeze will push the hot air out from one end to the other. Leaving the windows open at night will also help cool down your home the following morning.

3. Dampen Your Curtains

Staying Safe Online: Five Cyber Safety Tips Every Parent Should Teach Their Kids Ready Nutrition

Years ago, when my kids were in elementary school, I let one of them play a kids game on my computer. Hours later, when I got back on the computer, I had a virus. This was our first of many discussions about cyber safety.

Its safe to say that the internet is increasingly becoming more of an unsafe place thanks to new cyber threats coming out and child predators finding more sophisticated ways of accessing our childrens accounts. While this frightens parents, it doesnt seem to stop children from wanting to get online to play games, hang out with friends, or research. Parents must stay ever vigilant in making sure children know the threats that are out there.

As a parent, I have explained the dangers on the internet and what they need to avoid, but is this enough? We say our Stay Safe Online and Keep Away From Perverts lecture and send them on their merry way? There is much more that we must explain to them!

Part of having the responsibility of being on the internet is using it safely. These tips are musts for ensuring your kids are staying safe online.

  1. What you put out into the internet stays there even if you delete it. It is important to understand this and avoid making off-hand comments, bullying statements to other kids, etc. What you put on the internet now will stay on the internet. That means your future boss could read it, your childrens children could read it, so be aware of this.
  2. Check your basic security to see what is showing up on search engines. Doing a simple Google search on your name, address, etc. to see if your personal information is protected is a great start in making sure your kids are staying safe. Moreover, teach them to keep this information off the internet. That means not adding this to social media accounts. To be clear, kids and teens should not post their email address, physical home address, phone numbers or any information that compromises the safety of the family.
  3. Use the strictest privacy settings for social media accounts. With 73% of teens and 68% of young adults on social media, its hard to avoid. You still have a say in where they socialize online, so be present when they are setting up their accounts to ensure their privacy is protected. As well, instruct them not to put personal information out there. For instance, a teen posts a message on F...

Cloth Toilet Wipes: The Prepper Worlds Worst Idea Ever Preparedness Advice

On April 17, 2017, I went to Costco and filled my huge shopping cart with a total of 180 rolls of toilet paper. Double rolls. I felt like a king walking out of there with the cart piled high.

Cloth Toilet Paper The Prepper World's Worst Idea Ever via Preparedness Advice

Now, in early November, we have about 16 rolls left in a household of 2 adults and 2 older teenager. Two guys, two gals.

Not a bad investment, and Ive always been the kind of guy who likes to stock up anyway so I can avoid shopping. In prepper circles, though, a TP stash is looked down upon and most survival types worth their salt will say something like this, Forget stocking up on toilet paper. Use old t-shirts to make personal wipes, and just run them through the washing machine.

On the surface, it sounds ideal. None of us want to go back to the days of using corn cobs, leaves, or phone books. I understand that. But think for a moment about what is involved with using cloth as toilet paper. Saving and cutting up old t-shirts is the easy part.

Cloth toilet wipes a REALLY bad idea

First, used cloth wipes will have to be kept somewhere in a location that will not attract flies, pets, rodents, and other pests of all kinds. You may think that little bucket with a lid will do the job, but you havent met Lacey, our foster Great Pyrenees. Weve had to place a filled water jug, the gallon size, on our kitchen trash to Lacey-proof it. She and her other four-legged friends would love nothing better than to wallow around in poop and pee smelling t-shirts.

Oh, the glory of it all!!!

Slightly off topic a few weeks back, my wife and I pulled up to a CVS and right there on the sidewalk by the Redbox machine was a young couple washing down their 2 large dogs. The dogs were covered with suds and it was quite a sight. I asked why they were washing their dogs in front of a CVS store and was told, We were out jogging on the trails and the dogs found some armadillo carcasses. They started rolling around on them and now they stink too much to take home.

Animals love foul-smelling things, so if you go the cloth toilet paper route, keep that in mind.

A lot of preppers who took the cloth diaper/diaper pail route, swear that its the same thing with cloth wipes. To a point, theyre correct, but in a typical home, there is only one baby producing dirty diapers. In a house...

Madagascar Outbreak: It Is Inevitable The Plague Becomes Resistant To Drugs SHTF Plan When It Hits The Fan, Don't Say We Didn't Warn You

madagascarplague

The newest warning about the outbreak of the airborne pneumonic plague, or black death, in Madagascar has been released. Officials warn that its inevitable that this bacterial infection thats infected over 2000 people will become resistant to antibiotics.

The only way to treat a person who has contracted the plague is with antibiotics. But experts now warn that because they are being used so much to treat the infection, antibiotics resistance is inevitable and making this disease much more terrifying. Once the bacteria is resistant, the Madagascar healthcare system will be overwhelmed, and the disease will have control of the nation.

According to the Daily Mail, Madagascars healthcare system will be unable to cope if the deadly plague outbreak continues to escalate, a scientist has warned. Scores of doctors and nurses have been struck down with the disease, which is predicted to gather momentum in the coming weeks and there are growing fears hospitals will be unable to meet the illness burden. Official figures reveal at least 2,034 people have been infected with the medieval disease so far in what has been described as the worst outbreak in 50 years. The black death outbreak has so far claimed at least 165 lives.

Although the plague is responding well to antibiotics right now, drug resistance is also an increasing concern amongst experts who predict it will vastly accelerate the diseases death toll. Professor John Joe McFadden from the University of Surrey told...

A Porn Star And Rapper Coolio: Presidential Hopefuls For 2020 SHTF Plan When It Hits The Fan, Don't Say We Didn't Warn You

porrnstarcoolio

A porn star and the rapper Coolio are two of the so-far presidential hopefuls to run against Donald Trump in 2020.  And both say their campaign has what it takes to beat the sitting president.

When Donald Trump won the election last year, porn star Cherie DeVille (whos running alongside rapper Coolio) says she sobbed. I didnt cry because I hated [Trump] specifically, I cried because of what I felt that meant for the direction our country was going in. Like many liberals who saw their world crumble because of Trumps election, DeVille found herself melting down. But then she decided to do something about it.

DeVille, whos starred in such videos as A$$ Planet and Hot Tub Hottie, says she was inspired to run for office out of her personal frustration for the current political climate. The porn star then, ironically, went into full blown hypocrite mode. Were voting for people as if were on a reality television show, and my concern is if we continue to purely vote for celebrities, or political figures, or the most entertaining, theyre not always going to be quality politicians, DeVille told ITK on Tuesday. So vote for the porn star! Thatll fix it!

The 39-year-old porn star said she was (surprise, surprise) going to run as a Democrat. If our criteria now for becoming a political official is minor celebrity, I have that, says DeVille, who boasts 190,000 Twitter followers. I feel like I can be potentially what Im feeling the American people for better or for worse want, which is interesting news, scandalous news, you know, not boring political news.

But at the same time [I can] do what the American people really need, she continues, which is having a person with integrity, and having someone listen to the people, and actually care about America in public office.

According to The Hill, DeVille (whose campaign slogan is Make America F Awesome Again) says a lot of people giggle when they learn that Gangstas Paradise rapper Coolio is running as h...

8 Industry Experts Pick Their Must-Have SHTF Gun Concerned Us Patriots

Our panel of experts answers the age-old question If you could only grab one gun when SHTF, what would it be?

The question is pretty commonly heard at gun shops, barbecues and shooting ranges. Every shooter knows it, and every shooter thinks about it. What gun would you choose if you could only have one gun? It seems simple, but experts and enthusiasts alike know how difficult it can be.

The question gets a little trickier when we add a caveat: What if its during the apocalypse? Now you have to consider ammunition; if you run out of ammo, will you be able to scrounge some up? What about hunting and self-defense?

Answering this question can be difficult, but thats why weve assembled an assortment of industry experts to offer their opinions. On top of learning more about each of these gurus, these answers can also help you formulate your own.

Id choose an AR-15 for an SHTF situation. Thats an easy choice. I have had this conversation many times with industry associates as well as family members and friends. With the thousands of variations available, the AR-15 is the best choice. My decision is based on the following: training, reliability, ease of use, size, and ammunition.

Top 15 Foods You Have To Deposit For Disasters Concerned Us Patriots

A good stockpile of food will go a long way toward helping you survive the aftermath of any disaster or life crisis, especially when grocery stores are emptied.

In fact, Id go so far as to say that there are people who are not preppers who nevertheless instinctively know to stockpile food. This really isnt surprising when you consider that through most of mankinds history, stockpiling food was essential to survival specifically surviving the winter months. During those months, wildlife is bedded down trying to stay warm and plants are dormant. If one didnt have a good stockpile of food, their chances of survival were pretty darn slim.

But knowing to stockpile food and knowing what to stockpile are two different things. The vast majority of what the average American family eats is unsuitable for stockpiling, because it falls into one of three categories:

  • Junk food Lots of carbs, lots of sugar, lots of salt and lots of chemicals, but not much nutrition.
  • Fresh food Foods that wont keep without refrigeration.
  • Frozen food It will begin to spoil within two days of losing electrical power.

So we need to come up with...

Digital Life Makes Our Civilization And Us Much More Vulnerable To Complete Collapse Concerned Us Patriots

It was not so long ago that lovers and business partners separated by hundreds if not thousands of miles only had the Pony Express to meet the need for communication. Now we have the Internet. The Internet allows us to pursue our passions in life. Certainly, it makes gathering information easier and allows us to follow people who share our passions.

The internet offers us an intensification amplification electrification -digitization of human consciousness. It is the creation of a digitized social field of immense proportions. The Internet has given us fantastic tools to help us reach out and touch each other and this leads to touching ourselves in profoundly new ways that make us happy. Internet use empowers people by increasing their ability to communicate, which yields increased feelings of security, personal freedom, and influence.

We can meet others online that will help us keep abreast of everything happening in our principal areas of interest. It can go even further and fulfill us by giving us a channel to actually help others. It gives us a bully pulpit with the capacity to send our messages out to a large number of people all over the world and people will listen if we have something interesting or profound to say. Mastering a new technology whatever the technology is contributes to the atmosphere of growth in your life, and that boosts happiness, wrote Gretchen Rubin.

So strong has the digital age become that the vision of the future in which human and machine morph into a monstrous hybrid exists already in some of our brightest minds. Googles co-founder Sergey Brin recently declared, We want to make Google the third half of your brain. Brin and Larry Page are unabashed enthusiasts and promoters of what has come to be known as the Singularity, a vision of the near future in which human beings and machines merge so that illness, old age, and even death become things of the past.

These people have gone over the deep end, however; there is no doubt that we can do greater things with our technology than without. Many of us are not waiting for anyone and are already using the amplifying power of digital life to its potential. Some people really go off the deep end and end up living more in the virtual world than in the real world and this has made sociopaths out of some of them. Some people are so used to interacting with people in the virtual world that they no longer know how to interact with real people. Lives have been wrecked by Internet addictions.

The Most Important Signs Your Stored Foods Could Kill You Concerned Us Patriots

You worked hard in your garden. You butchered your own meat. Then you went through the labor-intensive, time-consuming process of canning it, but how can you tell for sure that your food is safe to eat when you open it?

There are many things that can go wrong during the canning and preserving process and eating spoiled food can make you extremely sick and can even kill you. Today were going to talk about how you can tell if your food has gone bad.

Home-canned vegetables are the most common cause of botulism, according to the CDC. That sounds like a big deal, but when you look at the numbers, it makes eating home-canned food much less scary. From 1996-2008, there were only 18 cases of botulism reported to be from home-canned foods. Still, that was only the reported cases so there were likely more than that.

Living in a place near the ocean where local seafood places regularly hand out raging cases of food poisoning, I can tell you that you DO NOT want to experience this. Even if you live through it, youll be praying for death while experiencing it!

Gods Dietary Laws: Why These Wonderful Animals Like Pigs, Crabs And Lobsters Are Bad For You Concerned Us Patriots

Gods dietary laws prohibit eating carnivorous animals. Just as God created clean animals for food and by-products that humans could use, he created unclean animals for other reasons. Carnivores are prey animals that help to control the populations of other animals. Such is the case with mountain lion and wolves who keep deer populations in check. This helps keep the deer population down and weeds out the old and sick members of the herd naturally. This is just one good reason why we should not eat carnivores sick animals could transmit disease.

Leviticus 11:7-8 and Deuteronomy 14:8 mention specifically that pigs are unclean and not fit for human consumption. Domesticated pigs have been used for a very long time as scavengers and will eat anything from garbage to dead animals and human wastes. Today, pigs in America consume more than 20 percent of the corn harvested in our country. Feeding corn, wheat and barley to pigs puts them in direct competition with our food crops. This is probably one good reason why God declared them unfit to eat. Jesus even allowed a herd of pigs to run off the edge of the cliff after He cast demons into them. This showed how little regard he had for them or just how invaluable he found them to be.

Pigs, along with other unclean animals, can also transmit trichinosis to humans. This is caused by a small roundworm that finds its way into animal and human muscle. Bear meat, walrus and pig have all been a major player in transmitting infections to humans.

When you want the best for your familys survival you cant just assume or hope for things to happen, you need to take action and make the right choices. Watch the below video.

10 Most Forgotten Items You Better Stockpile For Winter Concerned Us Patriots

The sun is beating down, its somewhere around 80 degrees in the shade, there are hot dogs and fresh corn-on-the-cob corn on the grill, and the kids are splashing around in the pool. What time is it? Its time to start stockpiling for winter, of course.

Even though it seems like snow and cold are in the far-distant future, there is no better time to start collecting necessities for winter than right now. By winter necessities, I do not mean items which are specifically related to weather, like snow shovels and roof rakes and sidewalk salt and windshield scrapers or winter clothing like sweaters and hats and mittens and boots. Although I would never discourage you from acquiring any of those things now if you can, there might not be adequate selections in stores quite yet.

I also am not referencing food. Most of us who are either off-gridders or homesteaders or preppersor some combination of all threekeep a pretty good stockpile of food most of the time. In fact, canning garden produce and making big batches of cheese to put in the freezer are probably a couple of the activities were doing while the kids are swimming.

And even those who do not raise and preserve their own food often keep the larder full of store-bought non-perishables like grains and pasta and dry beans and canned goods. If your supplies of food are low right now, however, this is definitely the time to build them back up.

Water, too, is something that many people store all year long. But those of us who live out in the country know there is a greater chance during winter of being either without power or holed up at home during inclement weather, and recognize the need for storing water for other reasons, as well. I keep a couple of five-gallon jugs full of tap water on hand at all timesits nothing I would want to drink unless I absolutely had to, but it would work great for flushing toilets and other general household needs. But in winter, I double that amount, just because.

When you want the best for your familys survival you cant just assume or hope for things to happen, you need to take action and make the right choices. Watch the below video.

A Few Ways To Start Settling And Learning From Native Americans About Plants Concerned Us Patriots

Pretty much anywhere you live in the United States, with the exception of the most desert areas, there are flowers that are rich in medicinal benefits.

As with most flowers, they likely grow throughout the summer, but you need to get in a stockpile before theyre snowed under.

Of course, all of these flowers may not be available in your area, so check their zones. You may even want to consider growing some of these in your yard or your permaculture setting.

Its important that you know whats available in your backyard that can be used medicinally, and this is our article for today.

Weve been using plants medicinally in this country long before it was settled by Europeans. As a matter of fact, many of the plants were originally named by Native Americans, then the name was Anglicized.

They had herbal medicine down to an art and with just a little bit of time, you can build some rudimentary skill in this area. And you should.

Im sure that the last person who ended up in some tragic scenario that required this kind of knowledge didnt plan to end up in that situation, either.

Now, just to throw in a bit of trivia about the names of plants. As I said, many of them were named by Native Americans or by the settlers.

Were zombies and vampires inspired by a real disease? Concerned Us Patriots

Zombies and vampires make for pretty good horror stories: both monsters feed on flesh or blood, and their bites turn victims into zombies and vampires themselves. But the scariest thing of all? Both myths have a few things in common with a real-world nightmare: rabies.

Rabies is an infectious disease thats primarily spread through the bite of an infected animal, like dogs or raccoons. The virus spreads from the bite to the brain, where its devastating: victims can experience anxiety, hallucinations, muscle spasms, increase in saliva, seizure, and comas. People can also become aggressive. Within a few days of these symptoms, almost 100 percent of rabies victims die, likely from respiratory failure.

ALMOST 100 PERCENT OF RABIES VICTIMS DIE

Today, we have vaccines that can prevent people who are bitten from dying. (The shots are usually given after exposure, though some people who routinely work with animals can get preventative shots as well.) But these vaccines for people and animals arent available all over the world. Rabies still kills tens of thousands of people every year, mainly in Asia and Africa, where its mostly transmitted by rabid dogs.

Rabies has been around for thousands of years: there are references to it in Sumerian writing, as well as in ancient Greek medical texts. And its often been used metaphorically to describe an animal rage that can sometimes infect humans, says Bill Wasik, author of the book Rabid, which charts the history of the disease. In Homers Iliad, the Trojan warrior Hector experiences this murderous rage the Greeks called Lyssa the same word used to describe rabies in medical texts. Culturally, the disease fed into these fears of animalistic possession, which are often motivating forces in storytelling, Wasik says. Those same fears and anxieties are reflected in the myths about vampires, zombies, and even werewolves.

What you find with all those myths, says Wasik, is that theyre channeling these deep anxieties about what separates humans from animals, the circumstances where we feel like were not in control, circumstances where bloodlust or literal lust or so on overwhelms our seeming rationality.

Some studies have pointed out striking similarities between the symptoms of rabies and historical descriptions of vampires and zombies. For example, vampires were thought to wander at night and attack women, while rabies can make its victims sleepless and aggressive, according to a 1998 study published in Neurology. And vampires were believed to turn into dogs or bats, the two animals that most commonly carry the disease. Another study published in 2013...

Are You Practicing Any Urban Survival Skills? What Do You Think Is Most Important? Concerned Us Patriots

After writing a pretty long article about all the survival skills you could possibly learn, I decided to make a similar one just for urban scenarios. Im doing this for several reasons, the biggest one being that city dweller generally dont concern themselves with bushcraft techniques or living off the grid.

To be completely honest, you should learn about living in the wilderness even if youre an urban prepper. Who knows what national disaster may come that will turn cities into death traps and force you to retreat in the wilderness.

But OK, I get it, youre not concerned with such scenarios just yet.  Lets see the full list of all the urban survival skills you need know and practice starting today with your loved ones.

Escaping a Riot

The larger the city, the bigger the odds of a riot. Sometimes youre not aware of whats happening until its too late (even the peaceful protest can take a turn for the worst). Sometimes there could be a social unrest that sprouts up between you and your home.

How do you escape one? First, you have to move with it, not against it. Better yet, move at an angle until you get the chance to get out and disappear in one of the streets. Second, dont respond to challenges. Dont run, dont shout, and if someone wants your gun or money, its best to comply.

Finding Food Around Town

Assuming the classic scenario of empty store shelves, finding food in a crisis is going to be tough. The most likely places you can find food are going to be the various body of waters such as lakes and ponds. There may be fish, there may be ducks, and you will need to know how to catch, kill and then cook them.

Next, lets not forget pigeons. They may not come in plastic wraps ready to be put in the micro-oven, but when you are starving to death, you may not have a choice but to consider them. Pigeons are abundant in cities and hunting them isnt that hard as long as you have an alternative survival weapon such as a slingshot or an airsoft rifle. Of course, a bird trap will always be the most effective.

If youre looking for cooked food, youre are probably going to have to search all the trash cans and dumpsters you can find. Keep in mind that everyone else without skills to hunt is going to do that as well.

So What Makes A Green Beret Different From A Navy SEAL, Or Other Special Forces Commando Unit From Somewhere Else In The World? Concerned Us Patriots

Do you have the survival skills to survive in a post-collapse world with no police, no laws, and no government? Here are 21 survival skills to learn now as well as several ways to apply these skills when all Hell breaks loose.

If you were to learn every possible survival skill out there, youd have to quit your job, sleep 4 hours a night and do nothing but read, train, and practice survival skills.

Thats one reason why Army Green Berets and other Special Forces units around the world are so skilled at what they do they have put their time in, gotten the practice, and acquired the skills. So what makes a Green Beret different from a Navy SEAL, or other special forces commando unit from somewhere else in the world?

The difference between a Green Beret and a Navy Seal

Comparing Green Berets with Navy SEALS, both groups are skilled with unconventional (guerilla) warfare, special reconnaissance, and combat search and rescue. Green Berets differ from Navy SEALS by way of their ability to blend in with the locals, build key relationships, and have eyes and ears on the ground.

This leads to: Training the locals in unconventional warfare (guerilla warfare and resistance fighters), coalition support, humanitarian assistance and peacekeeping duties. To summarize all these actions, Green Berets are expected to be skilled at diplomacy. Diplomacy is the keyword here. If you can get any survival skill from the Green Berets, diplomacy is a survival skill that can make you or break you in a post-collapse world. Youll see why in a moment.

Survival Skills, Explained

For the rest of us, there are too many survival skills to learn in a short period of time and it doesnt really make sense to get good at everything. Lets focus on the select few survival skills that will matter most when disaster strikes and youll be forced to either bug-In, evacuate, or bug out to a remote retreat for an undetermined amount of time.

Bug In  This means to essentially barricade yourself into your home and or just your neighborhood with your neighbors and subsist on supplies you and or your neighbors have stockpiled for an extended emergency.

Evacuate  A disaster or impending disaster or threat has made your neighborhood or region no longer safe to live, even if only for a sho...
